Gourd at Heart - Carved Ribcage

What does your heart beat for? Is it paint? Pencil? Clay? A computer? Mine beats for many things... one being gourds. This carved gourd sculpture is a representation of that love of nature. Every bit of the sculpture is carved - NO sculpting! The heart is made of 7 gourd pieces, suspended in the middle by a wire. The ribcage is a single large gourd, cut with a saw and painted. The wooden base is handmade just for it.
