Peeping Kitten by ART-fromthe-HEART Peeping Kitten by ART-fromthe-HEART
I love painting cats - Yup!

This kitten was commissioned by a local doctor who saw a graphite drawing similar to this in a vet's office. She loved the drawing, but couldn't find the original artist, and asked me to paint a large colored version of it. The hole in the ear isn't a wound, it's actually a "TNR" mark (trap, neuter, release.) When a feral female cat is caught and spayed, and then later released back into the wild, they clip the ear with a hole, notch, or sometimes the top of the ear is cut flat. This lets people know the cat has already been spayed. Because unlike males, you can't check their back end to see if they've been fixed. :P LOL. One of our 17 not-so-feral-anymore cats is a TNR female. She has the top of her right ear cut flat, and she's such a sweet old lady. <3
