No more Ai
I haven't logged into deviantart in a few years. It's changed so much since I used to use it alot. I'm still making art, sculpting mainly, and in 2023 I'm combining my love of sculpture and painting together with a new line of sculptures. It's likely you won't be able to see them here. I post most often on Facebook and Instagram, and I'd like to branch out to other sites. Maybe I'll use DA again. But one thing I WILL NOT be doing is supporting any kind of Ai. Ai images are not art. They look like pretty pictures but they're just mash ups and manipulations of artist's hard work. Shame on anyone who uses them and calls it art and claims they're an artist. If you use it for a quick reference or aren't an artist and use it for your personal uses, then fine. But don't claim it. It was never yours. Art is subjective and we can all enjoy a pretty picture but this Ai trend has devalued all artists. I'm still mainly a traditional artist and I'm lucky that Ai can't replicate sculpture or
Happy Howlidays!
Bandwagon dictates I wish everyone a Happy Holidays! So, I do! Lol, I genuinely hope you have a good day and the rest of 2018 no matter what you believe, do, or don't do. Be merry, treat yourself, and enjoy the final squeaks of the year. Not sure where the year has gone... I might be a time traveler (jk, just feels like it), but I can't wait to see what 2019 holds for everyone. May be it brighter and nicer on us. <3

I'll continue to be making art, mainly active on Instagram and Facebook. Also on telegram or discord if you wanna chat or say hi. :)

Artsy Fartsy
Hi everyone! Just updating my journal with randomness.
What I'm up to: Sculpting random gourd things for a local one-woman show in September (in Asheboro, NC). I've been posting my works on Facebook and Instagram mostly, and then adding them here when I get the chance too. Not everything will make it on here, but I'll be posting highlights.
If you have suggestions on what you'd like to see me make, feel free to comment!
Recently completed or getting ready to make gourdies: fish, octopus, jellyfish, dragons, owls, mushrooms, tree, crane, frogs, robots, yeti, turtles, flowers - and more to come!

"What has hindsight made you realize in a specific event or circumstance?" That I am only Human, and nothing more.
I have one instance for you, not that it is the only one......by no means!
Long time ago when I was still working as an auto Tech, I was questioned by a young man (13?) about my opinion of another company.
(Turns out I used to work for that company and my opinion was not very high of them. They did a lot of "shady" things and liked to sell customers many things and services they did not need. This goes against the very fabric of my personal being, and so I left after about three months employment there.)
He and his Father were both standing outside the shop when the question came about and I simply replied without giving a second thought " I would not let those Clowns work on MY car!" To which the Father proudly shouted back at me " I am one of those Clowns!"
Well, you know me.....I simply looked him in the eye realizing my mistake in giving my personal opinion and simply stated " I am so very sorry to hear that."
Shortly afterwards I was called to the service writers desk and asked why I had referred to a customer as a Clown? So I told the the service writer " He should not have asked what I thought of him."
Yea,hindsight truly is 20/20.....but I just love having fun living in the moment!
As for regrets?.......I can honestly say the only regret I have is not having discovered the Amazing joy of Art much earlier in life!
